Biography:
Dr. Milind Hote, previously a Professor at AIIMS, has joined as Director of the Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery department at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. Dr. Milind Hote with more than 20 years of experience, is an expert in Heart Failure, Pulmonary Artery Hypertension, Coronary artery disease and MICS surgery. He underwent robotic cardiac surgery training from the Heart Surgery Centre, Innsbruck, Austria. His achievements include the first successful Lung transplant operation in a public sector hospital in India, started a lung transplant programme at AIIMS, done more than 40 heart donor harvests and less than 20 heart transplants at AIIMS. He has helped in starting the heart transplant programme at RML hospital, He has the largest series of doing robotic ASD closure in India. He is a member of NOTTO for formulating guidelines for organ donation, organ allocating, patient listing and DCD.
