Biography:
Dr. Vahid Serpooshan did his BSc/MSc in Materials Science at Sharif University (Iran) and his PhD in tissue engineering at McGill University (Canada, 2011). He worked at Stanford University as Postdoctoral Fellow (Pediatric Cardiology) and Instructor (Stanford Cardiovascular Institute), working on developing a new generation of cardiac patch devices to repair ischemic heart injuries, using 3D bioprinting and iPSC technologies. In 2018, Dr. Serpooshan joined Emory University and Georgia Tech as Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Pediatrics, where his multidisciplinary team is now working on a variety of 3D bioprinting-based tissue engineering and disease modeling projects.
