Title : Assessment of a metabolic map 3.0 (MM3.0) in association with GLP-1 analogue in peri- and menopause overweight
Abstract:
MM3.0 helps to understand the true clinical evolution and the best strategy for the use of GLP-1 analogue.
Perimenopause is the gradual transitional period preceding menopause, during which the ovaries progressively decrease their production of estrogen and progesterone. Menopause itself marks the final spontaneous menstrual period in a woman’s life officially confirmed after 12 consecutive months without menstruation- thereby ending her reproductive or fertile phase. Overweight and obesity are frequent consequences of hormonal and metabolic changes. One treatment option, in addition to diet and exercise, involves the use of GLP-1 analogues which induce greater satiety, reduce appetite, stimulate insulin release, and control the excess of body weight and metabolic disturbances. MM3.0 makes an integrated analysis of Obesity (OB), Hyperglycemia (HG), Dyslipidemia (DL), Systemic Arterial Hypertension (SAH), Atherosclerotic Microvascular Inflammation (AMI), and Early Kidney Injury (EKI). Variables are: OB-> Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHR); HG-> Fast Glucose (FG), Glycated Hemoglobin (GH), Insulin Level (IL) and Tg-HDL Ratio; DL -> Cholesterol (Ch), Triglycerides (Tg) High Density Lipoprotein (HDL) and Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL); SAH -> Systolic (SBP) and Diastolic (DBP) Blood Pressure (BP); AMI -> Uric Acid (UA), High Sensibility Reactive C Protein (Hs-RcP) and Fibrinogen (Fb); EKI-> Albumin Creatinine Ratio(ACR) in a single sample of urine are used and interpreted according to this classification: There are three different zones; green, yellow, and red.
